Third person POV
It was a bright sunny afternoon, Chloe and Jade were relishing their day at the annual carnival. Their favourite just had to be the ferris wheel, the view was just marvellous . Chloe was gazing around excitedly, drinking in the plethora of things still left to explore. She and Jade had the whole day to themselves, the girls had so much to do! Chloe’s mind was racing with the different food stalls and game booths in her sight. She nudged Jade to pull her to the corn dog stall when her eyes stopped on a peculiar looking tent. She saw Jade already gazing at the tent with a strange expression. It was painted in black and purple. In the front was a board which read ’MADAME OPHELIA'S FORTUNES’. The tent radiated a curious darkness, a darkness that yearned to pull them in. Before she could comprehend on what was happening, she and Jade stood outside the tent and were peeking in. As they found themselves inside the large tent, a tall woman with red curly hair came in their view, a woman with eyes the color of a bottomless pit. Chloe found herself shivering as she gazed into them. She was adorned in a long black dress and was super engrossed staring at a crystal ball, like it held all the answers of the universe. As if waking up from a trance, she blinked once and jerked her head towards the both of them with wide eyes. Chloe seemed to be paralyzed with fear, such was the lady’s frightening gaze. She tried to move her legs, but it looked like they were dead set on betraying her at that moment. She desperately looked at Jade for help but it was clear she was going to be no help seeing as she was in the same position as her. "Welcome, I was expecting you to pay me a visit girls. Sit down please, both of you.”, the lady said in a raspy voice. Chloe opened her mouth to refuse but her limbs had a mind of their own, just as before, as she settled on a chair alongside Jade. The mysterious lady again gazed into the crystal ball, but this time she started reciting unfamiliar words at a fast pace . Out of nowhere she let out a shrill shriek, her eyes widened and she started breathing heavily. As the girls stared transfixed, the lady started to say something in a monotone and almost robotic voice, ”The maze of mayhem commences, Aroonshire's curse awakened, the chosen warriors must battle..” As the girls saw the mystery lady come out of whatever happened to her, they found themselves dozing off, their eyelids drooping. Neither of them knowing what would come next.

The next day Jade woke up to a scream, the scream sounded vaguely familiar. She instantly knew that it was Chloe. She looked around and saw Chloe in a bed next to her and knew why she was screaming, both of them were in a room, A very dark, disoriented and dusty room. There were stains all over the floor, Paint was peeling from the walls, every piece of furniture was broken as though someone had smashed it. She tried to remember what had happened but she only remembered bits and pieces like the fair, MADAME OPHELIA'S FORTUNES, Madame Ophelia muttering something like the maze of mayhem. Out of nowhere she heard a voice it was a deep voice it said
Chloe was confused and scared, stuck in a place with nowhere to go and a unknown voice just said a prophecy? Well, that’s what it sounded like to Chloe. On the other hand Jade thought that they had no other option but to go north. She saw some food and other necessary items filled in a backpack with her and Chloe's phones, she grabbed the bag and took Chloe's hand and pulled her towards the door which was halfway open. She stepped out of the room and was meet with a long endless hallway, the floor was rotten all wet and slimy. ,"How are we going to find north in this labyrinth?" Said Jade, "We could just use the compass on our phones" Chloe suggested. But she couldn't open the app After a few minutes of trying Chloe said "I guess we have to find another way" Suddenly, Jade saw a needle, a bowl filled with water, a magnet and a piece of paper. she remembered the science class last year when Mr. Brunner had thought them how to make a compass. She grabbed all the materials and started making a compass. within 5 minutes the compass was ready. She took the compass and started walking north.
They Were only a few steps away from the room when they heard a roar behind them, Chloe turned around and saw a creature which had a lion's head, a goat's body and a dragon's tail. It was quite far from them but still the roar sounded like it was right next to them. The creature started running Jade pulled Chloe with her and ran in the opposite direction. The creature was very fast and before they knew it the creature was only 200 meters far from them, jade started running faster but choler tripped on something which looked like a stone, she tried to stand but she couldn't. the creature pounced, Jade thought what would it feel like when the creature pounced on them, she waited but it never came when she looked up she saw the creature lying on the floor with something which looked like a spear through his throat, and she also saw a boy standing next to the creature no wait, there were two boys. One of them had black hair and Green eyes and looked athletic while the other one was short compared to the first one he had curly brown hair and brown eyes.
The boys started coming towards them, Jade and Chloe both were a bit scared What if they are monsters disguised as humans? thought Chloe. Suddenly the short guy said “hey there, the name’s Theo!” “How do we know your not monsters” was Chloe’s reply? “Well, we did just save you from that chimera over there and how do WE know YOU are not monsters?” Said Theo “touché, I guess we have no option but to trust each” Chloe said. “I’m Chloe and she is Jade” she continued. “I’m Theo and this guy over here is Harry” “So do you guys know anything about whatever this place? Or how to get out of here?” Jade asked. “This place is called The maze of mayhem and I don’t think you know but there isn’t any way out of here” said harry. “What!!” Chloe and Jade shrieked. “Well there is one way which is to lift the curse maze but anybody who ever tried has never returned from their quest.” Theo said. “wait, what curse?” Chloe asked.” You guys don’t know anything about this place do you? "Harry asked “no” “Let me guess you where at Madame Ophelia’s when you where sent to this place?” “yes” “Have you people ever heard this- (again insert prophecy) ” “(insert prophecy)” Jade continued. Theo and James where looking at each other with as if something bad had just happened. The started whispering to each other something like “we have to take then to the master what if they are the ones?” “were you both the only ones when you came or was there some other people?” James asked “No, It was only us both” Jade replied “You have to come with us” Theo said “but where?” Chloe asked “You will know once we reached”
